Engraver / Copyist / Orchestrator
Why should I use a professional engraver?
You have spent a significant amount of time, you’ve poured all your passion, you’ve invested blood, sweat, and tears into your music—now why would you want to turn your project over to someone else?
I understand that it can be intimidating to trust someone else to know your every intent and represent that on the page, but modern engravers, in addition to being able to assist with the editorial process, are experts in layout, clarity, and notation best-practices.
How is my work different?
In addition to being a performing musician and music librarian, my previous training as an architect grants me a very unique lens through which to view music engraving and preparation. Not only do parts need to be concise from a functional standpoint, but they should also be attractive in an aesthetic standpoint. Music that looks pleasing is far easier to read and understand than something that is busy or cluttered.
I am excited to offer you my expertise in design in addition to my knowledge in best engraving practices to help you create printed materials that match the beauty and character of your compositions.
